Jay DePolo
Agency Owner
Jay has been a licensed insurance agent since 1995 where he started in his Father’s Insurance Agency. He has been an Agency Owner with Allstate Insurance for over a decade. Growing up in Knox County, he graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. With a strong attention to detail, Jay puts the emphasis on prioritizing customer service and protection. “Our agency is focused on protecting our customers from life’s catastrophes and providing the best customer service available.” Jay studies the industry trends and make sure that his team is up to date and educated on how to properly protect the families they work with. Along with his wife, Lindsey, you can find Jay enjoying time on adventures with his three daughters, Megan, Ashlynn, and Josie. As a Brazilian Jiu-Jiujitsu black belt, Jay is also the co-founder of the local 501-3c non-profit, KiCKS (Knox County Kids Succeed). Active in the community, he is also an assistant coach with the Mount Vernon Wrestling Team.
Lindsey DePolo
Operations Manager
After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from THE Ohio State University, She spent over 10 years in the Wellness industry. Lindsey joined the DePolo & Associates team in May of 2018 making it a true “family business.” She loves getting to know our customers while reviewing the policies to make sure that they are getting the protection they need at the best cost available. You will find Lindsey working closely with our team updating them on industry trends and educating them on best practices to assist our customers. Also licensed in Life Insurance, protecting our customer’s families from the financial devastation that can come from the loss of a loved one is a top priority for her. Lindsey is an avid runner, and along with Jay, enjoys exploring the outdoors and going on adventures with their three daughters.
Pam Esparza
Agency Manager
Having joined the insurance industry in 1985 and obtaining her Property and Casualty Insurance License, Pam has extensive insurance experience and knowledge. She has worked has a commercial underwriter in the past, but customer service is where she finds the most enjoyment. In her years of customer service, Pam has obtained several industry designations including CISR and CPIA. Having joined the DePolo & Associates team in 2013, Pam found that she loves getting to know our customers on an individual basis. She focuses on making sure that they have the coverage and protection they need while handling any of their customer service needs. Pam lives in the Apple Valley Lake community, where she and her husband enjoy weekends at the lake with friends. Pam is also an animal lover and likes spending time with her Shib-Inu, Joey.
Sarah Herbert
Associate Agent
Sarah is one of our licensed property and casualty specialists. Sarah works diligently with each customer to make sure they are properly protecting the things the matter most. She enjoys spending time getting to know our customers so that she can customize protection to their needs. Originally form the Johnstown, Ohio area, Sarah now lives in Mount Vernon with her husband and two cats. Along with spending time at home with her husband and cats, she also enjoys kayaking, boating, auto racing, and working in her yard.
Dewey Hildebrand

As a Personal Financial Representative with DePolo & Associates, Dewey understands that when it comes to preparing for your financial future, each person’s needs are unique. Whether you have $5.00 or 5 million, he can help you prepare a strategy to achieve your financial goals. From education to retirement, it is his priority to help you to create a financial strategy to achieve the peace of mind that you deserve. Dewey has extensive experience in the financial industry. From working the floor in the stock exchange to executive level management, he has the experience and knowledge to assist with any financial needs. Also, the father of daughters, he loves spending time with his four grandkids and working on his farm.
Nick Sisson
Associate Agent
Nick is our senior licensed property and casualty specialist. Nick is always working with accuracy and efficiency to find the needs of each customer to ensure they are properly protecting every asset. He is a fun-loving, caring individual that excels in making our customers feel assured of their protection in a time of need. Nick lives in Bucyrus, Ohio where he was born and raised. He loves spending time with his fiancé and two dogs in the outdoors and camping. He embraces his youth by attending regular concerts and “longboarding.” Nick likes to explore his artistic side as a drummer and skilled glass blower.
Crystal Thompson
Associate Agent
As a Property and Casualty specialist, Crystal prides herself on being genuine, connecting with her customers and really understanding their needs. Having been a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Agent since 2017, Crystal has the knowledge and experience to ‘dive’ into her customers’ protection needs. A graduate of Northridge High School, Crystal has recently moved back to the local area. She is enjoying immersing herself in her hometown and reconnecting with old friends and her family. Spending time in the outdoors kayaking and fishing with her daughter are Crystal’s favorite past times. She also enjoys camping, music festivals, and cooking savory foods with friends and family.
Jamie Tolliver
Account Manager
Jamie is an Account Manager and Customer Specialist: Jamie enjoys working with our customers to assist with current policy changes and updates, payments, and billing questions. Having been in customer service for 23 years, she really enjoys helping people. This was her draw to the insurance industry. “Building relationships with our customers to make sure that they and their families’ are properly protected is the most important thing I do,” says Jamie. Jamie currently resides in Martinsburg, OH where she lives with her husband of four years. They have three sons, a daughter, and two dogs. She enjoys fishing, camping, kayaking, and long rides through the Ohio countryside.
Tara Simcox
Associate Agent
Tara brings over two decades of experience in the insurance industry to the DePolo & Associates team. With an extensive background, she focuses on providing various insurance options, including Auto insurance, Home insurance, Umbrella insurance, Boat insurance, Renter’s insurance, Motorcycle insurance, and ATV insurance. Tara’s favorite part of her work is the opportunity to connect with customers on a personal level. She values the relationships she builds and takes pride in helping customers find the insurance coverage that aligns with their unique needs. Beyond her professional life, Tara enjoys the thrill of motorcycling, often riding her chopper with her motorcycle club. Her passion for the open road and the camaraderie of her fellow riders is a source of excitement and adventure in her life. In addition to her love for motorcycling, Tara also finds joy in tackling remodeling projects. Whether it’s enhancing the aesthetics of a space or making functional improvements, she appreciates the creativity and transformation that come with such endeavors. With her extensive industry experience, passion for connecting with customers, and adventurous spirit, Tara Simcox is a valuable asset to the DePolo & Associates team, offering customers not only knowledge but also a personal touch to their insurance needs.
