Home Insurance Minimum Recommended Coverage

At DePolo & Associates, Inc we recommend the following limits as a minimum on your home insurance.

  • Dwelling: 100% replacement cost based on Allstate’s Estimator.
  • Personal Property: 65% of Dwelling Limit.
  • Additional Living Expense: 20% of Dwelling Limit.
  • Other Structures Coverage: 10% of Dwelling Limit.
  • Family Liability: $500,000
  • Guest Medical: $5,000
  • Water Backup: $5,000
  • Schedule Personal Property: Varies
  • Building Codes: 5%

Allstate’s Enhanced Package: Deductible Rewards, Claim Rate Guard, Clam Free Bonus.

Additional Endorsements are available depending on the situation and needs.

The limits that you have selected may differ as outlined in your New Business Application. You may have also elected to forgo some of the recommended coverages.

**We also strongly recommend that all our customers carry a Personal Umbrella Policy and Life Insurance.
